Newton, MA – March 30, 2020 – The Barkan Companies, a privately-owned group of five related real estate businesses with expertise in full-service property management, accounting and financial services, development consulting, and affordable housing compliance, is pleased to announce that Igor Vinokurov has been promoted to General Manager of Barkan Compliance Solutions, the company’s consulting services for the public and affordable housing sector.
In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the compliance department and staff, increasing the profile of Barkan Compliance with the goal of expanding the division’s portfolio of affordable housing communities, assisting with the creation of a training/coaching program for new and existing managers, and improving client service.
Vinokurov joined Barkan in 2018. Formerly, he worked as an Assistant Property Manager and Property Accountant for Beacon Communities, LLC, a South Boston-based real estate firm that develops, invests in, and manages a wide range of multifamily housing. During his four-year tenure, he performed recertification for Public Housing, Tax Credit, PBV, and Section 8, conducted property inspections, created budgets, maintained records, and facilitated all requests for financial information required by auditors, investors, and outside agencies.
